Pair programming
Through the Johns Creek Pair Programming Service,
we help you redouble your efforts in getting your software done and shipped.
No need to let a hand injury or vacationing colleague
keep you from completing your stuff!
Product creation, maintenance, and porting
We work in a number of different environments with relevant languages and approaches. For instance, web-based systems can take React or vue.js in the front-end, MySQL at the back-end, and Rails custom application code to bridge the two. A data-flow system handling gigabytes of data daily might require C for heavy processing, and scripts to handle scheduling and transfer. A simple tool, meant for wide use on many computing platforms, might be best served as a downloadable Electron application or as a mobile app.
Your particular situation will suggest specific trade-offs to make. We can help you make and implement the trade-offs you need.
Project Estimation
Business-people need reasonable estimates to help choose what software needs to be worked on. Early on, this might be nothing more than "back of the envelope" to sort and weed through potential projects in the portfolio. Later, with a team in place, this can help choose which functionality to deliver first, and when to wrap up the project to avoid putting in low-value features.
Product Assessment
Occasionally, you inherit, acquire, or get handed a software product. We can come in and help assess the current state of the software, so you can make more-informed business decisions.
Process Assessment
Over time, projects can get off-track. It might be a team issue, an environmental issue, or something else you might not have thought of. We can come in, look around, take the pulse of the team and organization, and suggest what to keep and what you might change. Some of these changes might be as simple as installing tools, training people on software development skills, or even coaching teams in "Agile" software development skills. Others might lead to longer engagements of specialized personnel.
